I wake up with the light, greet the dog, and have breakfast. Then I check emails and enjoy a cup of coffee. It’s October, but still warm enough to sit outside.

I scan online newspapers: The major stories seem to be yesterday’s downpour across Jutland, the Prime Minister’s speech about the work ethic of the Danes, and a majority in the US House of Representatives overturning their chairman. Finally, if you have stocks in the Nordic airline SAS, they are now worthless.

Afterwards, I scale all the pictures in my new series, RE-flower 28, upload them to the internet, and press “Publish.”
